The Juncos Are Back! Yay!

I love Juncos and they are finally back. I don't have any current pics, but here is one of my favorites, a Pink-sided Junco bathing in my pond. He took a lengthy bath and is obviously enjoying it, having puffed up to over twice his normal size. Juncos seem to love shallow baths with moving water and gravel bottoms. Here is a lovely Oregon Junco.
Another Pink-sided. I'd venture to say this is a female as the colors are very muted.
And here is a picture of beauty, a female Slate-colored Junco. She looks like an exquisite porcelain figurine.
I love listening to their gentle twittering chatter early in the morning. When I go out before dawn to fill feeders, I can here them quietly chipping their awareness of me from the bushes. Captivating.

Do you have a story or picture of a junco that you love? Let me know!

That is the puffiest junco that I've ever seen! I didn't know that they could get that puffy. Excellent pictures.
